Consultant service is lip service or real service?

I kept thinking how to answer this question about people question wheather consultant services is lip services or real service?

Here is the answer that I have the answer after I successfully consult some students and help them make a career choice. I found we do consultant services every day. Every time you give advice to someone who is faced with a choice, you are consulting. I also got a very good example from the news that I saw from Mercury News on June 7th which is death news about a Stanford faculty. According from the News, "People, when they speak to him, soon their vague and fuzzy ideas get transformed into crisp articulations," "There's nobody who has spoken to Rajeev who hasn't benefited from the experience." I thought this is a very good answer for the people who question about consultant services because people believe sun rise from east, sun come out from east; people do not believe sun rises from east, sun rises from anywhere.
